Police say an upstate New York man is dead after his utility vehicle overturned and ejected him.

The crash happened Monday at around 5:30 p.m. in Clayton. Police say 32-year-old Jeffrey Minnick lost control of his UTV on a gravel roadway and overturned. The LaFargeville man and a 17-year-old passenger were ejected.

Minnick was pronounced dead at a hospital. The teenager was treated for injuries that aren't life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation.
