Service on PATH rail lines has resumed from Newark and Jersey City to Manhattan after a delay caused by a suspicious package.

The package was found on a train shortly after noon on Tuesday, forcing police to close the Journal Square PATH Station in Jersey City.

PATH service was temporarily suspended on the Newark to World Trade Center and Journal Square to 33rd Street lines.

Service continued on the Hoboken to World Trade Center and Hoboken to 33rd Street lines.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says the suspension has caused residual delays.
