ALBANY — Nicki Minaj is not a fan of Gov. Kathy Hochul, to put it mildly.
After the music star attacked her in posts on X, Hochul on Wednesday night dismissed Minaj’s criticisms, saying she should, "get outside."
"And stop going to Trump rallies, it’s kinda poisoning your mind," Hochul told reporters in Albany.
Minaj weighed in on New York’s gubernatorial contest as Hochul rallied with local elected officials and union leaders at the Polish American Citizens Club ahead of Tuesday’s general election against Republican Bruce Blakeman.
"Kathy Hochul is an evil woman. The Democratic Party should forfeit her seat because even if she wins, she will be of great consequence to them. Downward spiral for her. She will not escape God’s wrath. She did not denounce evil when she had the chance," Minaj posted on the social media platform X.
It’s unclear what sparked Minaj’s post or her views on Hochul.
Minaj recently joined President Donald Trump on Air Force One and campaigned alongside him at an October 25, rally in Port Huron, Michigan.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung posted a video of Minaj on Air Force One captioned, “" Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!"
Blakeman, who spent Wednesday campaigning in the state’s Southern Tier, weighed in on Minaj's comments a little over an hour after she made them.
"Nicki, I’ve got the U-Haul ready. It’s time to fire the worst governor in America," the Nassau County Executive posted on X.
A Siena Poll released Tuesday showed Hochul leading Blakeman by 14 points.
