By Biben and Tompkins County District Attorney Gwen Wilkinson.. Bieder was arraigned and is due back in court today to answer felony charges of third-degree grand larceny, defrauding the government and filing false records.. Biben said Bieder was at an Ithaca health club 299 times while he was supposed to be at work in 2008 and 2009.. She accused Bieder of listing a woman in his care as being "in good spirits, and has a positive attitude," although she died later on the day he claimed to have visited her.. Bieder retired from his $65,000-a-year state job in September after a supervisor said he spotted him at the gym during work hours, according to the inspector general.. Bieder didn't have a lawyer yesterday and couldn't be reached for comment because he doesn't have a published phone number.
