Western New York boy OK after mom's SUV stolen at store, police say
Police in Buffalo are looking for a man who stole a sport utility vehicle after a woman left it running with her 11-year-old son sitting in the back seat.
Officials tell local media outlets that the woman stopped at a store around 9:15 p.m. Thursday and left the SUV running while she went inside.
Images from a surveillance camera show a man jumping into the vehicle and driving off. Police say they located the SUV with the boy unharmed inside around 10:30 p.m. He was reunited with his mother.
Police continue to search for the suspect and have released images from the video in the hopes of identifying the man.
