Rescue group takes on abandoned puppies
"She's adorable!" exclaims one Long Islander, talking in this Newsday video, clearly about one thing: puppies. Long Island has 30 new residents. Thirty new furry residents, that is. Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center in Port Jefferson Station took in puppy mill abandoned dogs, which are no longer used for breeding. Ordinarily, the dogs would be euthanized, since they are no longer of use to the breeders, according to Save-A-Pet. But not today. Instead, the cute canines took the trip from Utah to Long Island to find new loving homes. The rescue group is hoping there are homes willing to take in a small-breed dog to adopt and love.
