RFK Jr.'s wife charged with drunken driving
BEDFORD - The wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been charged with drunken driving, police say.
Mary Richardson Kennedy was arrested Saturday after an officer saw her drive over a curb outside a school, Bedford police Sgt. Matt Dunn said Tuesday. Her alcohol-blood level was 0.11 percent, police said. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.
Kennedy told police she was at the school to pick up some people from a carnival. Police would not comment on whether anyone was in the car with her or if she had a lawyer. There was no phone listing for the Kennedy home in Bedford.
Robert Kennedy Jr., son of Sen. Robert Kennedy and nephew of President John F. Kennedy, did not immediately return a call to his White Plains office.
