Rockin' out the Smith Haven Mall

Local rock band Cosa Nostra will be playing at Hot Topic tonight at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove.

Normally electronic, the 3-year-old band will be playing acoustic tonight, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., to keep patrons' ears intact, lead singer and guitarist Phil Saliba say.

Saliba says the band’s five members chose the name, which means “our thing” in Italian, to exemplify their blend of style interests.

The band, whose members are from towns across western Suffolk, is working on its first full-length album.
