If Kane Davis could change one thing about himself, he would choose to be more sociable.

But his reserved nature is the perfect mentality for a closer who is often isolated on the mound at pivotal moments with no one to turn to but himself. In his first season with the Ducks, Davis has prospered in that role, amassing 10 saves with a 2.08 ERA.

Originally drafted by the Pirates in the 13th round of the 1993 entry draft, the 32-year-old West Virginia resident spent parts of five seasons in the majors with five organizations, most recently the Phillies in 2007.
