Roslyn rock concert to aid wounded vets

Roslyn area firefighters will hold an oldies rock concert Saturday to benefit the Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior.
Entertainers include The Chiffons, Emil Stucchio and The Classics, Bob Miranda and The Happenings, The Devotions and the 1910 Fruitgum Company.
The event is sponsored by the Roslyn Rescue Hook & Ladder Co. and Roslyn Highlands Hook and Ladder, Engine and Hose Company.
Money raised will be used by Nassau firefighters to buy holiday gifts for armed services members being treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., and at Fort Bragg and Camp Lejune in North Carolina.
The show begins at 7 p.m. at Roslyn High School, 475 Round Hill Road. Tickets are $40 and seats must be reserved.
