Roundup: Harper's 4 goals give Baldwin victory

Patrick Dillon scored the game-winner from 5 yards with 1:43 left in overtime as Baldwin edged Hills West, 11-10, in non-league boys lacrosse Monday.

Tyler Harper had four goals and an assist in the win.

GN South 6, Glen Cove 5: Dan Belmont scored with 1:48 left to win it for Great Neck South in non-league. Vinny Peltry tied the score at 5 with 3:51 left for GNS.

Seaford 9, Mepham 4: Anthony Marino had seven goals and one assist and Nick Kirincic had seven saves in his first varsity start for Seaford in non-league.

Wantagh 9, Cherry Creek (Englewood, Colo.) 7: Ryan Walsh scored five goals and Jake Gambitsky made 12 saves to lead Wantagh (2-1) over the defending Colorado state champions.

East Hampton-Bridgehampton 8, Riverhead 4: Brendan Damm had two of his five goals during a 5-0 fourth quarter for East Hampton-Bridgehampton in non-league. John Nolan added a goal and three assists in the win.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Mepham 17, Sewanhaka 10: Senior Cristina Olson and sophomore Nicole Stackpole each scored a career-high six goals to lead Mepham in non-conference. Lindsey Montoya had four goals for Sewanhaka.

Plainedge 14, Mineola 6: Freshman Jaqueline Kennedy had five goals and one assist for Plainedge in non-league.

Seaford 18, Plainview JFK 9: Emma Schait had six goals and an assist to lead Seaford in non-league. Amelia Taylor scored three goals with three assists and Meaghan Curley had two goals and two assists.

Kelly Carcich had five goals and an assist and Amanda Schiller made 18 saves for Plainview JFK.

Sayville 10, Sacred Heart 9: Kimmi Marra rounded the crease and scored in the top left corner with 1:02 left to lead Sayville in non-league. Marra and Connie Neilsen each had three goals and an assist for Sayville.

St. John the Baptist 18, Islip 14: Danielle Jaycox had five goals and four assists, Kaitlyn Montalbano had three goals and three assists, and Jill May four goals for SJB in non-league.Syosset 9, Freeport 6: Tory Harrison had three goals for Syosset in a Conference A-I/II crossover. Dominique Compito added three goals, and Delenay O'Keefe scored two goals.
