Rudy Giuliani does auction at Bridgehampton's Sandcastle
So how much would you pay for you and a partner to play golf with Rudolph and Judith Giuliani?
If you were in the Hamptons Saturday night, it would have to have been a lot.
The Giulianis came out to Sandcastle, the sprawling Bridgehampton estate on the market for $49.5 million, to help owner Joe Farrell and his wife, Kristen, raise funds for the Stony Brook Long Island Children's Hospital.
The Farrells explained during the fundraiser that their son, Jack, was born with breathing and other problems. Delivered at Stony Brook Hospital, he spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Today, the 5-year-old does flips in the pool and skateboards at the home's half-pipe.
After posing for photos inside the home with the hospital staff (seen here), the Giulianis made it up to the podium under the tent outside to auction off a day on the greens. The date would be "mutually agreeable," according to the program. As for the course, Giuliani said it would be "negotiable ... but you got to pay money first."
He then promised to tell "terrific Bill Clinton stories," because, after all, the former mayor has played golf with Clinton.
And when the bidding got up to $12,000, Giuliani promised, "I'll tell you secret Bill Clinton stories."
That apparently clinched it: Someone bid $15,000.
