Rumer Willis: Audition for 'Gossip Girl' awful

Rumer Willis, riding high these days as Broadway's current Roxie Hart in "Chicago," recently recalled how displeased she was with herself after auditioning early in her career for the role eventually played by Blake Lively in TV's "Gossip Girl." "I felt like I did an awful audition back then," Willis said. "I was so young and it was, like, one of the first things I'd ever auditioned for." Willis, who went on to take the crown on "Dancing With the Stars" last season, did eventually land a role for a brief time on another of The CW's popular prime-time soaps: the 2008 reboot "90210."

Goodman slims down

Actor John Goodman, best known from TV's "Roseanne" and the big screen's "The Big Lebowski," is looking much slimmer and trimmer these days. The 63-year-old actor, who said he had weighed close to 400 pounds at one time, showed up Thursday at the London premiere of his upcoming movie "Trumbo" and had obviously lost a massive amount of weight. Goodman's rep told ABC News that the actor has been focused on basic exercise and improving his diet. Most of the weight loss appears to have occurred within the past year.
