Some of the running backs the Giants may have an eye on and the projected rounds in which they could be available:

Doug Martin, Boise State5-9, 223

Ran for 1,299 yards and 16 TDs as a senior; also caught 28 passes for 263 yards and can return kickoffs. Compared by many to Ray Rice.

Projected: First or second round

David Wilson, Virginia Tech5-10, 206

Was ACC Offensive Player of the Year with 1,709 rushing yards and nine TDs in 2011, but his seven fumbles could be a red flag for the Giants.

Projected: Second round

Lamar Miller, Miami (Fla.)

5-11, 212

He ran for 1,272 yards and nine TDs last season and caught 17 passes but had difficulty with receiving drills at the combine.

Projected: Second round

Isaiah Pead, Cincinnati5-10, 197

The Big East Offensive Player of the Year with 1,259 yards for 12 TDs and 49 receptions. A willing blocker and good receiver, he'd be a good fit as a third-down back.

Projected: Third round

Cyrus Gray, Texas A&M5-10, 206

Had 1,045 rushing yards and 12 TDs to go with 31 receptions in 2011, but missed two games with a shoulder injury that brings his durability into question.

Projected: Third or fourth round

Robert Turbin, Utah State5-10, 222

Perhaps the back the most like Brandon Jacobs, a pounder who was the WAC Offensive Player of the Year with 1,517 rushing yards and 19 TDs.

Projected: Third or fourth round
