Running of the Bull set for Saturday
Smithtown’s sixth annual Running of the Bull will take place Saturday
The 5-kilometer race and 1-kilometer fun run will be held outside the Smithtown Central School District’s administration building, on the southwest corner of New York Avenue and West Main Street. Organizers expect more than 600 runners and hundreds of spectators.
The run starts at 8:45 a.m. and the 5k race steps off at 9 a.m. Registration is at 8 a.m. The cost is $25 for runners and $10 for walkers.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to Angela’s House, which provides services for families of medically frail children, and The Courtney Sipes Memorial Foundation, which advocates for pedestrian safety and offers scholarships for children interested in the arts.
The event is sponsored by the Greater Smithtown Chamber of Commerce and Damianos Realty Group, who will host a breakfast, award prizes and provide entertainment. For information, call the chamber at 631-979-8069
