Sachem East beats North Babylon, advances to AA Finals

Meagan Doherty had 14 points, Kathleen Everson had 13 points and Katie Doherty added 10 to lead No. 3 Sachem East over No. 2 North Babylon, 45-44, in a Suffolk Class AA semifinal at Farmingdale State.

Charise Wilson had 14 points for North Babylon (20-1).

Sachem East (18-3), the defending Class AA state champions, will play No. 4 Deer Park in the Suffolk finals at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Farmingdale State.
