Voters in the Village of Saltaire on May 27 elected a village justice and two trustees.

Frank Markuswas was re-elected to a four-year term as the village justice with 91 votes.

Three people ran for the two open two-year trustee seats. Hugh O’Brien received 73 votes and was elected to his first term as a village trustee. Incumbent trustee Alexander K. Chefetz, with 69 votes, was re-elected to the post. Hillary Richard, an incumbent, garnered 65 votes and lost her seat as trustee.

Saltaire, a seasonal community on Fire Island, is made up of about 400 homes, according to U.S. Census data.
