Sam Smith to resume touring after vocal cord surgery
Grammy Award-winnerSam Smith, who had postponed some concert dates after a small hemorrhage on his vocal cord necessitated surgery, says he is ready to resume touring. "I've got two more weeks chill time," Smith, 23, told the BBC's "The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw," referring to his continued recovery from the May 14 surgery. "My first show is 3 July which is Thetford Forest" -- one of the locales for the British Forest Commission's Forest Live concert series -- "and from then I'm back on the normal schedule." He has dates in France, Switzerland, Scotland and Portugal from July 5-11 and begins his American leg, with no local shows, on July 17.
