It’s now almost a year since superstorm Sandy and Benjamin Rajotte, director of the Disaster Relief Clinic at Touro Law Center, is still getting a good stream of calls from homeowners seeking advice on how to fight for damage reimbursements.

“People are still whittling away. It’s a very long process, and successes have been more the exception,” said Rajotte, whose team in large part helps Sandy victims wade through the complexity of submitting flood insurance claims and makes recommendations for consultants.

Rajotte will be taking newsday.com reader questions in a live chat on Thursday at 1 p.m. Newsday business writer Joe Ryan will also join in.
