Sauer's 4 RBIs lift OLMA over HT
Sam Sauer went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and drove home Stephanie Pia in the bottom of the seventh to lift Our Lady of Mercy to a 4-3 victory over Holy Trinity in CHSAA softball Monday.
Sauer struck out four and allowed three runs in a four-hitter.
Farmingdale 12, Freeport 0: Junior Michelle Duddy pitched a five-inning no-hitter with four strikeouts in Nassau Conference AA-II. Duddy also had a hit and four RBIs.
Plainview JFK 4, Bellmore JFK 0: Katie Rutcofsky struck out 10 in a one-hitter and Traci Lichenstein had a homer and two RBIs in Conference AA-II.

St. Dominic 16, St. Mary's 1: John Mione threw a no-hitter, struck out five and allowed one unearned run for St. Dominic in CHSAA. Jack Zagaja had two hits and four RBIs and Troy Scocca went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs.
Hewlett 1, Bethpage 0: Zach Stempler's solo homer in the bottom of the fifth won it for Hewlett in Nassau Conference A-II. Luchiano Morello struck out six and walked four in a three-hitter.Bayport-Blue Point 4, East Hampton 1: Mike Farley pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and hit an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth to give Bayport-Blue Point a 2-1 lead in Suffolk League VII. Ryan Dollop and Kirk Cavanaugh each drove in a run in the inning.

Valley Stream District 7, Great Neck North 6: Jesse Oppenheimer scored his second goal of the game with five minutes remaining to lift Valley Stream District in non-league.
