Save historic Oyster Bay drug store

The recently closed Snouder's Corner Drug Store in Oyster Bay offers a golden opportunity to restore and preserve a unique part of Long Island history that, sadly, is fast vanishing ["For LI's Teddy Roosevelt," Editorial, Dec. 26]. Too many of these sites have been pushed aside by "progress." I know this preservation effort will be a daunting task; however, I encourage an all-out effort to accomplish it.
The thought of Teddy Roosevelt receiving telephone calls at this location is interesting and fascinating.
