Scarsdale starts lacrosse program for k-2 boys
Registration is under way for a lacrosse league for boys in kindergarten through second grade that the Scarsdale Youth Lacrosse Association and Scarsdale Parks and Recreation will offer in April at Boulder Brooke Field.
The program is aimed at teaching fundamental skills of lacrosse, introducing game concepts and providing instruction in a noncompetitive atmosphere.
The league will meet from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Saturdays will be devoted to teaching clinics, and Sundays will be for game play between teams.
The cost to register is $75, which includes a uniform. To participate all players must get a U.S. Lacrosse Membership ID Registration Number, which can be obtained at www.uslacrosse.org/
Lacrosse equipment is required, including a stick, helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, cup, mouth guard, and cleats.
