School administrators reluctant to grade

I have been an educator for more than 50 years, with 15 as a high school principal ["Concerns of rating teachers," News, April 6]. During that time I have observed too many administrators who are reluctant to tell a teacher, "That was a poor, ineffective lesson." The follow up to that statement should be very simple: Improve your teaching skills, or you will be terminated.
Educating our young people is an awesome responsibility, and the administrators responsible for carrying out that goal should do their job.
