The Seaford School District and the Seaford Wellness Council will hold a "Rachel's Challenge" anti-bullying assembly Tuesday to help students and parents confront the dangers of bullying.

The free event will be at 7 p.m. in the Seaford High School auditorium, on 1575 Seamans Neck Rd.

The assembly is based on the life of Rachel Joy Scott, the first person killed in the Columbine High School massacre in 1999. Through the efforts of her family, "Rachel's Challenge" was created to help students realize the negative effects of bullying and how they can lead to school violence.

The presentation coincides with similar assemblies that will be presented to middle and high school students Tuesday and Wednesday in an effort to promote anti-bullying messages and encourage open discussions at home.
