State Sen. Charles Fuschillo Jr. (R-Merrick), above, is inviting current and aspiring small-business owners to his 2012 Small Business Networking Expo May 10.
The expo gives small-business owners an opportunity to network, promote their businesses, interact with representatives from their local chamber of commerce and learn about services that could help their businesses grow. The event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Seaford Knights of Columbus, 2183 Jackson Ave. in Seaford.
Participants will learn about business assistance programs offered by government and nonprofit agencies and speak one-on-one with their representatives. They will also obtain information about accessing capital, getting a small-business loan and writing a business plan.
“Small businesses are the backbone of Long Island’s economy,” Fuschillo said in a statement. “Helping them grow and thrive is critical to creating jobs and strengthening our economy.”
For more information, call Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630 or visit fuschillo.nysenate.gov.
