Senate to vote on $50.5B Sandy aid bill Monday

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Senate will vote on the $50.5 billion superstorm Sandy recovery bill Monday evening, as lawmakers Thursday again delayed final action on the aid package.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) announced Thursday night on the Senate floor that the Sandy aid vote is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. -- soon after the Senate returns to Washington from the weekend.
The Senate has put off the bill as it wrangled this week over new rules for filibusters, which passed Thursday night.
The Sandy aid bill was passed by the House on Jan. 15.
