The short-lived State Senate campaign of Conservative Islip Town Board member Anthony Senft, who dropped out last week, raised $97,242 and he had $49,961 left upon his exit.

The biggest donors to Senft: A fund run by Suffolk Conservative chairman Ed Walsh ($35,000) and the State Senate Republicans' campaign committee ($10,000). Other big contributors included a New York City landlord group, Neighborhood Preservation PAC, ($10,000) and departing GOP Sen. Lee Zeldin's campaign committee ($5,000).

Senft's replacement as GOP nominee, Islip Supervisor Tom Croci, has $102,974 on hand, having raised only $125 in the past six months while overseas as a Navy reservist.-- Rick Brand
