1. YOKO ONO EXHIBIT OPENS

Peace and love -- that's the focus of a traveling art exhibition featuring works by Yoko Ono and John Lennon that will make its New York debut at Stony Brook's Staller Center.
Exhibits include photographs of the Imagine Peace Tower in Reykjavik, Iceland, an oversize all-white chess set ("Play It By Trust") designed by Ono and lithographs from Lennon's Bag One Portfolio, a series of drawings that depict the couple's wedding and honeymoon.
Visitors are invited to write a message for peace on tags that will be hung on a wish tree outside the gallery.
The first of two multimedia lectures tied to the exhibition will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m.
2. "BILL CUNNINGHAM NEW YORK"
New York Times fashion and society photographer Bill Cunningham, known for his impromptu street shots, is the focus of a new film that gives a look into his subjects from uptown personalities like Anna Wintour, Tom Wolfe, Brooke Astor and David Rockefeller to downtown dwellers. See it at a special screening Wednesday.

3. NORTH FORK FOODIE TOUR
Eat your way through the North Fork. The Reform Synagogue's annual self-guided tour gives patrons face time with farmers, chefs, winemakers and shopkeepers. Participants can roam between more than a dozen stops, several are offering guided tours of their fields and facilities.

4. FASHION'S NIGHT OUT
It's Fashion Week in Manhattan -- but you can partake on Long Island, too. Several retailers at the Americana Manhasset are hosting soirees and shopping events Thursday as part of Fashion's Night Out. Alice + Olivia, for example, will be decked out in a carnival theme (complete with games), while Shoe Box will have snacks and Champagne. Many stores will offer discounts and raffle prizes.

5. TOMATO CONTEST
Gardeners across Long Island are invited to bring their ripe homegrown tomatoes to Hicks' 14th annual contest. Prizes will be awarded for the heaviest, largest circumference, most unusual looking and tiniest red tomatoes fresh off the vine.

6. WEDDING SHOWCASE

8. COTTAGES TO CASTLES TOUR

10. HOMAGE TO WARHOL
Andy Warhol's "Screen Tests" features footage of people the artist felt had star potential as he filmed at his Manhattan studio. Look for snippets of Dennis Hopper, Lou Reed and Nico. A screening of the footage is being held in East Hampton in conjunction with the Pollock-Krasner House's Warhol exhibit, "15 Minutes: Homage to Andy Warhol."
