Series brings LI musicians to Port Washington
The Long Island Music Hall of Fame has launched the “LIMHoF At The Library” lecture and discussion series, which will allow residents to meet some of the Island’s most influential musical artists.
The Hall Of Fame, which leases space from Brookhaven Town for its Port Jefferson headquarters, will use the series to further its mission, which is “dedicated to the idea that Long Island’s musical heritage is an important resource to be celebrated and preserved,” representatives said in a statement.
The first event in the series will be an evening with Ervin Drake and Oscar Brand at the Port Washington Library on Thursday, the representatives said. Brand, a folk singer with a career of more than 60 years, and Drake, a songwriter for more than 80
