Shannon Goldrick threw a five-inning perfect game and struck out 10 for Deer Park in a 15-0 win over Copiague in Suffolk League IV softball Wednesday.

"She threw 57 pitches and was able to locate her fastball in and out," Deer Park coach John McCaffrey said.

Third baseman Sam Racano made a play on a hard hit ground ball down the line in the fourth inning and Leftfielder Nicollette Trovato made a shoestring catch on a line drive in the fifth to help preserve the perfect game.

Sabrina Riley went 2-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored for Deer Park (3-2).

West Islip 8, Whitman 1: Stephanie Neglia went 2-for-4 with five RBIs to lead West Islip (5-0) in League I. Stevianne Ognibene went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in the win.East Islip 1, Half Hollow Hills West 0: Heather Zenk's base hit in the bottom of the fifth scored Kelsey Fileccia for East Islip (4-2) in League IV. Courtney Greene struck out eight, walked two and surrendered six hits in the win.

Eastport-South Manor 8, Bellport 0: Marissa Rizzi struck out 12 in a one-hitter to lead Eastport-South Manor (4-0) in League V. Sam Vosper was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Jackie Chester went 2-for-3 with three RBIs in the win.Shoreham-Wading River 8, Hampton Bays 0: Chelsea Hawks struck out 11 with no walks in a one-hitter to lead Shoreham-Wading River (4-1) in League VII. Brittany Mahan hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning. Caitlin Mirabell went 3-for-3 and Alex Hutchins went 2-for-3 with four RBIs.Calhoun 3, Baldwin 2: Cassie Beccaris' two-out single scored Lauren Trimarco in the bottom of the eighth to win it for Calhoun (3-1) in Nassau Conference AA-II. Beccaris went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Joanne Marmo went 2-for-4 with a run. Nicole Imhos allowed five hits and struck out seven in a complete-game victory.Bellmore JFK 6, Hicksville 3: Lauren Sustad and Jaime Demmett hit back-to-back home runs in the third to give Bellmore JFK (4-0) a 5-2 lead in Conference AA-II.

Mineola 8, Locust Valley 0: Emily Skupp struck out nine with no walks in a one-hitter to lead Mineola (3-1) in Conference A-II. Skupp went 3-for-4 with an RBI, Valerie Fischer went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and Mallory Donellan went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.BASEBALL

Wantagh 2, West Hempstead 0: Mike Davanzo pitched a two-hitter with no walks and six strikeouts to lead Wantagh (6-0) in Nassau Conference A-I. Kyle Fagan's groundout scored Mike Stack to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead in the first inning.

Half Hollow Hills East 6, Central Islip 4: Senior John Gallo struck out eight and gave up three earned runs in 51/3 innings to earn his first varsity win for Half Hollow Hills East (5-2) in Suffolk League III. Louis Sileno and Jon Eisdorfer both went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Mike Ceparano pitched the final 1 2/3 innings with three strikeouts for his second save.

East Islip 7, Newfield 2: Dave Palmer struck out nine, allowed six hits and gave up no earned runs for East Islip (7-1) in League IV. Palmer had a two-run homer, Nick Osburn added a three-run home run and Ken Rotunno had a solo homer and two runs.

Bellport 2, West Babylon 0: Ed Trowbridge pitched a two-hitter with two walks and a strikeout to lead Bellport (3-5) in League V. Evan Honce went 3-for-3 and scored on freshman Mike Veit's single in the sixth to give Bellport a 1-0 lead.

Deer Park 5, Hauppauge 3: Ryan Mallon struck out eight in a complete game and Sal Trovato went 1-for-3 with an RBI for Deer Park (8-0) in Suffolk League V.Harborfields 8, Islip 6: Kevin O'Connor and Ken Adair each went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs for Harborfields (4-4) in League VI. Dylan Piscitelli struck out seven in 5 2/3 innings for the win.Rocky Point 6, Miller Place 0: Dennis McAllister's two-out, two-run double capped a four-run third for Rocky Point (5-3) in League VI. Frank Moscatiello struck out seven and walked three in a two-hitter.
