A “Shed the Meds” program will be held Saturday in Lindenhurst and Bellmore.

State Sen. Charles J. Fuschillo Jr. (R-Merrick) is sponsoring the program, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon at William Rall Elementary School in Lindenhurst and in the far west parking lot of the Bellmore LIRR station.

Residents can drop off their old or unused medications. All collected medication will be safely disposed of by officers from the Nassau County Police Department and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office.
