Shoreham-Wading River's Jack Massa goes 4-for-5 with homer to beat Mt. Sinai

Jack Massa belted a two-run homer in the first inning and finished 4-for-5 as Shoreham-Wading River defeated Mt. Sinai, 5-1, Tuesday in League VII. Chris Moran had six strikeouts in five innings and allowed three hits for SWR (1-0).

Bellmore JFK 18, Garden City 7: John Hulkower went 4-for-5 with two home runs and seven RBIs for Bellmore JFK (5-2) in Conference A-I. Eric Pauly went 3-for-4 with a home run.

St. John the Baptist 10, Chaminade 3: Pat Besch had six strikeouts in four innings and Will Girimonte went 3-for-4 with three RBIs to lead St. John the Baptist (5-0) in CHSAA.

SOFTBALLBayport-Blue Point 8, Shoreham-Wading River 5: Lauren Petersen went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and four RBIs and Katelyn Torlincasi was 2-for-3 to lead BBP (4-2) in League IV.
