Single-car crash upstate kills 3

WALLKILL, N.Y. -- Three people died after a car slammed into a tree in Ulster County, police said.

Town of Wallkill police told the Middletown Times Herald-Record that officers responded to a one-car crash Saturday night. They found three people inside the smashed vehicle.

Two were pronounced dead at the scene and the third was pronounced dead at Orange Regional Medical Center. The cause of the crash is under investigation. -- AP
