Live from Smithtown, it’s town government at work.

Residents with cable television can now watch meetings of the town board and town planning board live on Smithtown’s government-access cable-TV channels. Previously, those meetings were recorded for future broadcast.

Smithtown’s government-access channels are channel 18 on Cablevision and channel 27 on Verizon.

Videos of previous meetings are available on the town’s website, smithtowninfo.com, and can be viewed on desktop and laptop computers and mobile devices.
