ACTIONS
At its June 23 meeting, the town board:
Accepted bid No. 11-041 for steel stock from Sims Steel, as per bids opened on June 2, 2011.
Awarded RFP No. 11-010, for video security upgrades at Long Beach Marina, to A + Technology Solutions Inc., as per proposals received on March 7.
Approved the designation of Alan Gagnon and Catalin Dumitru as electrical inspectors and Alliance Electrical Inspections Ltd. to make inspections and re-inspections of electrical installations, alterations and repairs heretofore and hereafter described within Chapter 145, Electrical Standards of the Town of Smithtown.
Authorized Richard Kitt, environmental analyst, and Stephanie Hurd, senior environmental analyst of the Department of Environment and Waterways, to attend a "hazardous materials incident response operations" refresher course at Miller Environmental Group, Calverton, on July 6 at a total cost of $320 ($160 per person).
Authorized the amendment of Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions filed with the Suffolk County clerk in Liber 12620, page 935, as pertains to real property designated as SCTM No. 0800- 173-3-12, as approved at public hearing held Feb. 17; and further authorized the supervisor to execute Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions on a form approved by the town attorney.
Authorized the Department of Public Safety to apply for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Port Security Grant Program to facilitate the replacement of Marine Unit S256 (1998 25-foot Boston Whaler) patrol vessel, item A5710, Waterways & Navigation's 2012 budget year, effective June 24, 2011.
