ACTIONS
At its Oct. 5 meeting, the town board:
Adopted Special Exception Petition 2010-03 by Mark Newfield to modify a commercial public recreation use in order to permit the addition of a sprinkler system to increase capacity, which will consequently increase the parking requirement for property located at the south side of Parkway Drive South, 174.48 feet east of Ricefields Lane, Hauppauge, SCTM: 182-9.1, subject to conditions as stated in the memorandum from the town planning director dated Sept. 7, 2010. Public Hearing: April 6, 2010, SEQRA: 9/23/10 Pending.
Adopted Local Law 1-2010, repealing in its entirety Chapter 153 of the Code of the Town of Smithtown entitled "Erosion and Sediment Control" and enacted a new Chapter 153, entitled "Stormwater Management and Erosion and Sediment Control," for which a public hearing was held on March 18, 2010, and pursuant to the recommendation of the town attorney.
Gave permission for inspection by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in connection with required permit applications to be filed by New York SMSA Limited Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless in connection with a wireless communications facility at the Paul J. Fitzpatrick Country Club and further authorized the supervisor to sign the necessary forms approved by the town attorney.
Authorized the Highway Department to rent a D65EX Dozer from Edward Ehrbar Inc.
Rejected all bids received in connection with bid 10-059 for residential construction services, FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant re-advertisement as per bids opened Sept. 20, 2010.
