The planned Long Beach International Film Festival will hold a teaser event Thursday that will offer a glimpse into the festival’s plans for 2013, organizers said.
The film festival will host a “Shorts on the Beach” film series at the Allegria Hotel on West Broadway in Long Beach at 7:30 p.m. Admission to the event is free and open to everyone, organizers said.
The festival is slated to be a multiday event next year, organizers said.
“This special ‘sneak peek’ will be just a sample of what the Long Beach Film Festival will be offering in 2013. It will truly be a celebration of film in the city by the sea,” Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano said in a statement.
This year’s short films will include fiction and documentary shorts, organizers said. No movies will be rated stronger than PG-13 this year, organizers said.
