Long Islanders who want to indulge in national restaurant brand Sonic will soon get the chance.

Anita Strohm, a spokeswoman for the Oklahoma City-based franchise, said the Island’s first location broke ground on Feb. 7 and is scheduled to open this spring on Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon. The area around it includes the Tanger Outlet Center at The Arches and one of Long Island’s three Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants.
