Source: Giants to host Terrion Arnold, who is facing eight felony charges
The Giants will host cornerback Terrion Arnold for a visit on Wednesday, a league source confirmed to Newsday.
Arnold was released by the Lions in June after he was arrested and charged with coordinating a kidnapping plot in February according to a release from the Florida state attorney's office. He faces eight felony charges of kidnapping and robbery. A trial date has not been set.
Arnold denied the allegations through his representation in a statement released to The Athletic in June. He was a first-round draft pick in 2024 and played eight games with seven starts for the Lions last year.
The Giants are in need of help in the secondary. The team practiced Tuesday without cornerbacks Greg Newsome (knee) and Paulson Adebo, who was absent for unknown reasons.
According to the release, Arnold is accused of coordinating the kidnapping of three men who he believed stole more than $200,000 of his personal items. The charges carry a potential life sentence if he is convicted.
Arnold visited the Seahawks on Monday, and NFL Network reported that he has also visited with the Saints and Texans.
