Najee Harris’ visit with the Giants led to a new home. The team signed the running back to a one-year deal Tuesday, a league source confirmed to Newsday.

Harris worked out Monday and goes from playing for Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers last year to John Harbaugh's Giants this year.

Harris is also coming off an Achilles injury last year. John Harbaugh noted that Harris isn't in football shape yet even though he looked good in workouts. But he's familiar with Harris being a physical back since Harbaugh’s Ravens faced him in the AFC North during Harris’ four seasons for the Steelers from 2021-24.

“He's a decorated vet,” Harbaugh said Monday. “And with those guys, generally, you just have to kind of see where they're at when you get them.”

The Giants need running back depth after waiving Dante Miller with an injury designation. Harris provides that even if Harbaugh said it will be a process to get him ready to contribute.
