South tops North in Under Armour All-America Classic

The Under Armour All-America North team, which featured 10 Long Islanders, lost to the South, 25-13, in the Under Armour All-America Classic on Saturday at Towson University.
McDonogh’s Taylor Cummings had five goals and three assists to lead the South. Kelci Smesko (Ridgewood) added five goals and Corinne Etchison (McDonogh) had three goals and five assists.
Sammy Jo Tracy (Fox Lane) scored two goals and Garden City’s Megan McDonald made six saves to lead the North.
If you’re wondering, the North holds a 5-2 all-time series lead in the Classic.
