Southampton defeats Oyster Bay

Southampton defeated Oyster Bay, 3-1, in eight innings to win the Long Island Class B championship at Farmingdale State. Southampton won its second consecutive LIC and will play at the Section I/Section IX winner on Tuesday with the winner going to the state semifinals on Binghamton on Saturday.

Southampton starter Chris Pike pitched eight innings, allowed seven hits, walked one and struck out 10.
