Southampton's Garrett Pike throws no-hitter
Junior Garrett Pike tossed his first varsity no-hitter to lead Southampton a 3-0 win over Mercy Wednesdayin League VIII. He struck out seven and walked two batters for the Mariners (8-6). Pike is the younger brother of Chris Pike, who threw a perfect game and a no-hitter for Oklahoma City University earlier this year. Thomas Beckman went 2-for-2 with one RBI.
