Southampton starts helicopter, jet noise hotline
Southampton Town has placed a phone number on its website for residents to call to complain about helicopter and jet noise.
The Noise Abatement Hotline, 800-376-4817, is run by the East Hampton Airport.
Helicopter noise has grown over the past few years as more people have taken to commuting by helicopters to their summer homes as a way to bypass weekend traffic jams heading into and out of the Hamptons.
