Southampton Town bids go online

Vendors and contractors looking to snag jobs with the Town of Southampton can now download bid documents from the town's web site.

Town Clerk Sundy Schermeyer said vendors no longer have to troop down to Town Hall during business hours to review available bids and request-for-proposal documents.

Schermeyer says the new system will reduce paper waste and save bidders the $50 spec deposit that's required to review documents at town hall in person.

The documents are now available on the town clerk’s homepage.
