Junior Anthony Fedele pitched a no-hitter and struck out 12 as Southold blanked Shelter Island, 10-0, in Suffolk League IX baseball Monday.

"He started locating his curveball and breaking ball, and once he got that going, he just settled in," Shelter Island coach Mike Carver said of Fedele, who walked six.

Chris Reilly went 3-for-4 and drove in five runs for Southold (7-5).

SOFTBALL

Carina Zupa tossed a no-hitter with nine strikeouts as Glen Cove defeated Bethpage, 5-0, in Nassau Conference ABC-I.

Briana Leon went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and freshman Sara Tenke had two hits and an RBI for Glen Cove (2-5).
