In an effort to reduce costs to residents for storm cleanup, the Southold town board voted 6-0 on Wednesday night to waive until Feb. 1 trustees’ permit fees, town building permit fees and rubbish disposal tipping fees for repairs related to superstorm Sandy.

The town building inspector and town trustees will have sole discretion in determining whether the work is storm-related.
