Kirk leads Houston Open

Miller question mark for Sabres

The Buffalo Sabres might have to continue their late-season playoff push without goalie Ryan Miller, who is recovering from what the team is saying is an upper body injury. Coach Lindy Ruff has not announced his next start.

Red Bulls trade for De RosarioThe Red Bulls have acquired Dwayne De Rosario in a trade with FC Toronto, giving coach Hans Backe the playmaker he's sought since taking the reins last season. The Nets are giving current season ticket holders an opportunity to renew their subscriptions . . . for the 2012-13 season. The offer is part of the long run-up to the team's planned move to Brooklyn, where the Barclays Center currently is taking shape. The early sale covers premium "All Access'' tickets, which includes 4,000 club and courtside seats that come with unlimited food and other amenities. Fred Mangione, the Nets' chief marketing officer, said the remaining premium seats range in price from $99 to $1,500 per game. The Nets said half of all season tickets will cost $55 or less per game.

MEDIAESPN takes Rose off air

ESPN has pulled NBA analyst Jalen Rose off the air in the wake of a report that he waited nearly three weeks to inform the network of his March 11 arrest on suspicion of drunken driving. The network did not say how long Rose would be sidelined.
