Raptors beat Celtics
Amir Johnson made two free throws with less than three seconds to play, Andrea Bargnani scored 29 points, and the Toronto Raptors beat Boston, 102-101, Sunday to end an eight-game losing streak to the Celtics. Paul Pierce's potential game-winner bounced off the rim as Toronto beat Boston for the first time since a 114-112 road win Jan. 23, 2008.

Orange eke out win
Freshman center Baye Moussa Keita hit a tiebreaking free throw with 1:29 left and Kris Joseph added two more foul shots to help No. 10 Syracuse rally for a 63-60 home victory over William & Mary. Syracuse shot just 36.7 percent for the game, including 5-for-22 (22.7 percent) from beyond the arc. The key free throws by Moussa and Joseph were the front ends of one-and-ones, and they missed the second each time.
UConn women win 81st
Maya Moore scored 30 points in her homecoming to Atlanta, leading No. 1 Connecticut to its 81st consecutive victory with a 71-51 rout of Georgia Tech. The Huskies (3-0) tied Washington University, an NCAA Division III school, for the most consecutive wins by a woman's program at any level. The Bears won 81 in a row from 1998-2001.

Federer, Murray win
Roger Federer and Andy Murray won in straight sets on the opening day of the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London. Federer beat David Ferrer, 6-1, 6-4, on the indoor hard court at the O2 Arena. Murray defeated Robin Soderling, 6-2, 6-4.

Own goal in OT yields MLS Cup
FC Dallas defender George John deflected a shot into his own net in overtime as the Colorado Rapids beat FC Dallas, 2-1, in Toronto to win their first MLS Cup. David Ferreira scored for Dallas in the first half before Colorado's Conor Casey tied it in the second.- AP
