Durant scores 51, Westbrook 40
Kevin Durant scored a career-high 51 points and Russell Westbrook added 40 as the host Thunder beat the Nuggets, 124-118, in overtime. Serge Ibaka added 14 points, 15 rebounds and 11 blocked shots. Arron Afflalo scored 27 points and Andre Miller had 21 points and 10 assists for Denver . . . Ersan Ilyasova had career highs of 29 points and 25 rebounds as the visiting Bucks beat the Nets, 92-85. Deron Williams had 26 points for the Nets, who will face the Knicks tonight in their third game in three nights. Brook Lopez, who missed the Nets' first 32 games with a broken right foot, had nine points and two rebounds in 22 minutes . . . Jared Dudley had 25 points as the host Suns beat the Lakers, 102-90. The Lakers' Kobe Bryant scored 32 points but had 10 turnovers.
Red Wings set another record
The Red Wings won their 23rd straight home game, setting an NHL multiple-season mark, beating the Sharks, 3-2. Detroit, which broke the league's single-season record of 20 on Tuesday, surpassed the 22 straight wins over two seasons by the Bruins more than eight decades ago . . . Zach Parise, David Clarkson and Matt Taormina scored and Martin Brodeur made 21 saves in the visiting Devils' 3-1 victory over the Canadiens.

Orange eke out win over Rutgers
C.J. Fair scored 21 points and Scoop Jardine added 17 as No. 2 Syracuse earned a 74-64 victory over Rutgers. The Orange (27-1, 14-1) improved their lead in the Big East standings to 21/2 games over No. 12 Marquette and No. 23 Notre Dame.
Pride women beat Towson
Nicole Capurso's three-pointer with 16 seconds left gave Hofstra a 69-66 Colonial Athletic Association win over visiting Towson. Shante Evans had 29 points and a season-best 20 rebounds for the Pride (18-8, 10-5). Evans scored 21 points in the second half as Hofstra rallied from a four-point halftime deficit.
AUTO RACING
Edwards, Biffle to lead Daytona
Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle have put Roush Fenway Racing on the front row for the Daytona 500. Edwards won the pole for next Sunday's race with a lap of 194.738 mph in his No. 99 Ford. Biffle qualified second with a lap at 194.087. The rest of the starting positions are determined through a pair of 150-mile qualifying races scheduled for Thursday. -- AP
